This recipe tutorial video is in the BGE Highlight on my Instagram, click here.

First off let’s talk about things you will need besides the actual ingredients

Remember these things next time your Pit Master needs a present, these are all great choices.

If you do not have a BGE or something similar… You can use a charcoal pit using indirect heat. You do this by putting charcoal on one side & cooking your chickens on the opposite side.

ingredients

directions

  1. Inject chicken in multiple areas with 1/2 jar of Zatarians Creole Butter

  2. Salt chicken generously

  3. Cover and put in fridge for at least 1 hour

  4. Get BGE or BBQ Pit up to 300F, this is where the Egg Genius is a genius. This is also when you place your BGE Conveggtor . If you want more of a smoke flavor add a couple of pieces of apple or pecan wood. Something less harsh than mesquite.

  5. Season chicken generously with cajun or chicken seasoning

  6. Open beer can with can opener, pour half out (or enjoy in cool glass)

  7. Place beer can on pit and slide chicken over can.

  8. Cook standing until internal temp is 165F

There you have it! We paired the chicken with Alabama White BBQ Sauce from Southern Living. We have plenty of leftovers to eat on all week.

Happy BBQing,
