This is part of a paid campaign with Kary’s Roux/Pig Stand Bar-B-Q Sauce. As always these are my own person thoughts. Thanks for all the support!

It’s the end of March which means one thing in South Louisiana— FESTIVAL SEASON! And festival food is my absolute favorite. I decided to take one of my favorite festival dishes— the festival burger & give it an at home upscale twist!

I used Pig Stand “Hot” Bar-B-Q Sauce for this recipe. I picked it up at Champagnes Market, but use their product locator if you are curious what’s closest to you! You can also buy directly from their site & ship it to your door!

For the burger patties, I have adapted a recipe my FIL found years ago online. If you don’t feel like making that from scratch, store bought is just fine.

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients except the Pig Stand Bar-B-Q Sauce, buns, cheese, lettuce, grilled, onions, tomatoes together in a large bowl.

  2. Form into 8 flat patties and add a thumb print in the center. This helps the burger from “balling up”.

  3. Light your grill and cook burgers to your liking! Add cheese if you please.

  4. Heat 1/2 bottle of Pig Stand Hot Bar-B-Q Sauce on the stove.

  5. Smother burgers with Pig Stand Hot Bar-B-Q Sauce then build your burgers!
